Abella to enjoy rural family tourism

The rural houses are located in the village of Abella located to 5km of the “Vall de Camprodon.

Abella is a village where still lives of the livestock. With a population of 58 people, has managed to mantain and combine the tradition and surroundings with the toursim activity.

We are located at 1236 meters high in the “Vall de Pelenca”, left hand side of the Ter stream, nestled in the Serra de Cavallera.


The Collada Verda

From the village Abella and moving to an unpaved road leads to the Collada Verda, 1700m; crossed by the road that leads to Pardines. At this pint agree the valleys of the Ripollès and Ribes de Freser. Between the village of Abella and the Collada Verda, we find the remains of olf mines antimony, which were active in the early twentieth century and as the other mines in the region no longer exploted.

Ermita de Santa LLúcia

You can visit the chapel of Santa Llúcia, acording to experts this chuch be buit on the ruins of another old building of pre-romanic period. Without documents that justify it, seems to be dated to the 12th century. It has a single nave with small dimensions,  and a steeple that excels in the small conglomeration of houses among which passes almosy unnotices. The door holds a bold head demon.
